I have been making a small list of where to eat out in Bangalore. While the city has many, many options, these are only a few I have been able to try out myself or recommended by friends. Feel free to add your own choice sin the comments below.
- Sotally Tober, Koramangala 4th Block for Malayalam dishes
- Ente Keralam at Ulsoor for Malayali food
- Siddiqui Sheekh Kebabs, Frazer Market near Johnson Market. Their seekh kebabs are awesome. But you have to stand on the road and eat.
- Vasant Nagar Place Andhra Thali
- Phobidden Fruit Vietnamese Food
- Koshy’s Bar and restaurant is an old time favourite. Open for breakfast. On St Mark’s Road Ashok Nagar
- MTR : Try them in Indiranagar or Whitefield. Very good South Indian food.
- Green Theory Cafe at Convent Road serves organic vegetarian, modern cuisine.
- Halli Mane : Again nice South Indian Food, at Sampige Road
- South Thindies : More nice South Indian food.
- Tonic & Toast on Richmond Road serves modern fusion food. Govindobhog Herbed rice with some baked fish kind of niceness.
- Prashanti Military Hotel – Known for its north Karnataka cuisine – Mutton Chops, Country Chicken Gravies and Fry, and donne Biryani
- Fanoos – Again Kebabs
- Red Fork Deli off 100 Feet Road is excellent for Parsi food. Open for breakfast.
- Coast to Coast – Authentic Mangalorean Cuisine ( Bunt Style Preparation)
- Mangalore Pearl _ Mangalorean Cuisine again ( Konkani Style Preparation – Pork and Beef Served here )
- Hyderabadi Biryani House – Actually an Animal Husbandry House – Serves the best Hyderabadi Biryani
- Sunny’s – Restaurant – Continental Food – Premium Dinning place – started by a chef and named after his dog. Superb food.
- Pecos – its a pub but the chicken curry and Dosa is to kill for. And famous among the old Bangaloreans
- The Restaurant – Coorg – Amazing Coorgi preparation – Mostly Pork Curry and Rice Roti – (little premium feel to the place)
- Wild Spice – serves coorgi Joint – Small Place mostly for lunches
- Taste of Tibet – a Small little joint located in Brigade Road famous for its Tibetan Food.
- Soo Ra Sang is excellent for Korean.
- Brik Oven, Church street. Some swear their pizza is the best.
- Khazana’s and Meghna’s for biriyani.
- Peppa Zzing, Infantry Road for burgers.
- CTR, Janata Hotel, Veena Stores – South Indian breakfasts
- North Hams Pizza in HSR layout. Their thin crust Pizzas are nice.
- Nasi & Mee – Authentic Thai dishes
- Benjarong in Ulsoor for Thai.
- Esplanade in Indiranagar is a nice place for Bengali food.
- Airlines Hotel at Lavelle Road is a great place for chai and hangout.
